Kuomboka should go ahead at all costs to please Sata

Sata and his newly found friend the Litunga

The Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) on Tuesday held another meeting mwa “Kashandi” and not in the usual KUTA, at where they resolved that the Kuomboka  must go on despite security concerns and low water levels.According to the Barotse Post, the Kashandi is not the usual meeting place as it is the place where the Litunga sits and make his programs and sits with his cabinet of Indunas. It is also the place where he meets people who are visiting him.

Insiders say the meeting was in such a deadlock until the final hour where it was resolved that BRE go ahead with the Kuomboka ceremony preparation because President Sata insisted that in view Zambia’s scheduled hosting of the U.N.W.T.O. Zambia shouldn’t miss this opportunity to attract a lot of tourism and foreign exchange.

“As such the Litunga is expected to travel to Lealui tomorrow on Wednesday, a matter that we find laughable because Lubosi Imwiko II has been in Limulunga all year long” the insider observed. Kuomboka literally involves the ‘shifting’ of the Litunga from his flooded Lealui palace to the upper ground of Limulunga palace.

On the matter of security, Zambia has sent an advance team of security personnel to Lealui this afternoon with extra security expected in due course

Earlier the Barotse Post had reported that the 2013 Kuomboka was in doubt as the BRE had decided to cancel it citing among other things security concerns, at which point Lusaka insisted the Kuomboka must take place with or without water.

so what’s wrong with having the kuomboka?you guys make me sick.the revenues help the locals aswell.

    • Uhuru   April 17, 2013 at 14:00

They want to find anything with which they can fight Sata and his PF government. That’s why there’s this obsession with the Litunga and the Barotse issue. The problem is ; it is not going the way they anticipated hence the shrills and contradictory articles. Kuomboka is good for the local economy , for the shopkeepers, lodge and hotel owners.

What are you talking about there is no minority tribe in zambia.true bemba tribe is found in mprorokoso, luwingu, chinsali and kasama that is a fact.Lozi is not a tribe just like nyanja is not a tribe.Zambia has 72 tribes and 35 are found in the present western province.Even the Litunga is not a lozi by tribe he is a luyana and mbowe by tribe.Silozi is a languange spoken by all tribes in western.

What do you expect to happen if you vote people into people that are not worthy of the high office !!
Now everything has gone upside down and back to front !!!
Now, just to think of another joker wanting to acquire the high office, come what may,(WK), makes my skin crawl !!!
It is a total shame what is happening to one of our tribes in our motherland !!! Hope, the people of Zambia can learn from this and rectify the situation sooner rather than later !!!

But the water levels are low. You want the Nalikwanda to get stuck in the mud and the Litunga to be rescued by Choppers?

Very correct, the President should always be pleased for things to work smoothly you people with small brains.

  11. Licholocholo   April 17, 2013 at 10:02

The word vermin refers to animals, usually smaller ones, that are annoying (e.g., insects, rats) that spread disease and are destructive to property.

Do you surely think Lozis are what the meaning above states?? Anyway two wrongs do not make a right, and I don’t think you have anything positive to offer. I can only say let God arise and our enemies be scattered in Jesus’ name.

Denial is a big problem for this site and often leads to massive depression and eventually madness and paranoia. Let us all accept that currently our president is HE president Michael Sata and we must give himthe due respect. Now you say he will shun the Kuomboka and then you say he wants it to go aheard at all costs, what are you trying to say?

    • eagle's eye   April 17, 2013 at 10:35

If a leader whom you support is in such a stuation what would you advise him or her? Do not just squail without solution. You demagogues Lozis are good pipo the only bad pipo are those who are throwing stones. We need development in western province like universities, stadia, roads, teachers houses and many more which the pf govt is already doing why fighting.

    • Sikufele   April 17, 2013 at 09:01

My friend, if you know international ettiquette, you will realise that the Litunga’s back side of his hand is facing the camera and the President’s hand shows the inside (palm). If you didn’t know, that means the Litunga is commanding the show and the President is only the follower. Ask anyone who has studied Presidential ettiquette. This is why Obama’s aides always adise him which side to stand when he meets fellow Presidents. READ AND OBSERVE. DON’T JUST MAKE NOISE.

Who has supported him? Grow up Sata is the President of Zambia love him or hate him. Idiots like you behave like it is the end of the world when there’s someone you hate as President. Go and hang yourself if you’re not happy. If you have battles to fight why don’t you take the lead and fight them yourself? Tell your ka ma tribe to fight your stupid battles rather than sitting on the sidelines hauling insults at Lozis.

  22. Uhuru   April 17, 2013 at 07:17

I am surprised at the “matter of fact” assertions of id.iots on this site. Honestly what evidence do you have for these stupid $8m assertions? Can you please show us the Litunga’s Account so that we see for ourselves when this money was paid into his account? Aren’t you the same stinking maggots who wanted the Lutungaship to be abolished because he was the one behind the secession movement? “One Zambia One Nation” you screamed! “We are one people” “We are intermarried” “Lozis are selfish for wanting to break away”. Fast forward “The Litunga is against secession, he has been bought” “Lozis are cowards” “Lozis are traitors”.

I am now convinced that you people are not normal. You’re mental patients. One wonders whether Chainama has been emptied of its inmates!

    • mk   April 17, 2013 at 09:15

Everyone has a price. The point is that the one who offered tax payers money to the Litunga is as greedy, stupid and foolish as the Litunga himself. How many Zambian people can benefit from USD8Million? But in PFs wisdom, only one foolish King at the expense of so many youths who ushered this govt into power deserves it. What kind of greed is this?

Litunga z ored in limulunga so wht z kuomboka 4. I thik the meaning of kuomboka z misundrstood & here ar the points tht make it irrelevant ths time ( 1).water level hs gone down. I fail 2 undrstd why it doesn’t take lace in march as it used 2 be. (2) the litunga z ored in limulunga & question z who took him thr, why does he want 2 be takn whr he z? Does he even feel the need of kuomboka whn he z ored in the dry land (limulanga)?

when corruption enters through the mouth and comes out through the anus, what remains is doing wrong things. Wake up barotseland.
    1. you are promised BRA restoration before elections
    2. You vote for Pama Fi in anticipation for BRA
    3. After voting for mafi you are told no BRA
    4. You protest your children are arrested
    5. Pamafi sends soldiers on instruction to kill on sight anything that mumurs fa,fa, yeni, yeni sha.
    6. Now you are ordered to go and paddle in sand and you say yeni sha!

Where is your pride? Are you normal or Nomaao you barotse dwellers?

    • Uhuru   April 17, 2013 at 06:12

PF only got 2 seats in Western Province. MMD got 10. UPND 4. and ADD Got 1. So in your warped head this translates into the majority of Lozis having voted for PF! You’re definitely an inbreed with a deformed brain.

      • xyz   April 17, 2013 at 11:07

You cretin, why did the lozi’s riot when pf failed to deliver on the barotse agreement as was promised before elections? It’s because they voted for sata. You are as dull as your name and a wasted sp erm. swine. masipa.

    • voters card   April 17, 2013 at 08:10

Who shud we vote for n why?

    • F_Mind   April 17, 2013 at 13:58

Thats not how you Analise issues based on perception or attitude, you know very well that the people of barotseland have no weapons to fight for themselves, when critically looking at issues i would expect you talk about the injustices carried out by the PF regime or the previous ones and if you are concerned at all you know very well that the president has violated people’s basic rights to express themselves hence i would expect you to sympathies with the oppressed and not just vague talk.the real truth is that the people are fed up with all the cheap lies and deceit but i don’t understand why bembas are so much against secession when in the actual sense zambians can still coexist with a new neighbor.

  31. rev.masipa   April 17, 2013 at 03:32

its as expected. these idiots have stopped thinking. they want to paddle their useless boat in sand. where are your principals you lozis? from being used as stepping stones to now becoming cover stones. if there are any sensible lozis remaining please drown the useless greedy litunga when paddling. from being told “anything that says fa fa fa fire, ensha ensha just shoot” to being ordered to do something against your own will, where is your integrity mina bikuba. even when your brothers and cousins wanted to support you it becomes difficult to support a vascillating lot. rubbish

    • Miko   April 17, 2013 at 07:19

Dont pretend. You are clearly Bemba. If you are Lozi you are inonge wins. Genuine lozis support bo clement sinyinda because he has their interest at heart not this selout and Bemba captive. The UPND has nothing to do with this. For us True Lozis, we are mourning. The Litunga has sold us, enslaved us. There is no more dignintiy for us. Do you know what Sata and Emmanuel Mwamba discussed in bemba after wards???
Open your eyes lozis. Sinyinda had brought us some level of respect and dignity. Now this litunga has taken away everything in exchange for money.

If the water level is low why should kuomboka go ahead. I smell a rat at this decision. Otherwise whatever accidents will occur there, let those spearheading it take responsibility. Let’s not pretend as if all is well in Zambia, when we know how many times BRE has been backstabbed by politicians of Zambia, eversince independence. For the sake of being paid money by PF our King wants to sail to show tourist that everything is alright in Zambia and indeed western province.
