Ndola based doc jumps to his death

A medical doctor in Ndola has allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the Zambia State Insurance Corporation (ZSIC) owned Premium plaza in Kansenshi residential area.

Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner Mary Tembo confirmed the incidence.

She said the incidence happened last night at about 19.30 hours when the deceased whom she identified as Dr Kanyanta Kapapa aged 28 years jumped off from the 5th floor of for unknown reasons.

Ms Tembo said the deceased who lived on the fifth floor in flat number 24 did not leave any suicide note or say anything. Police suspect no foul play.

She said the young sister Muma Kapapa who was present at the time tried in vain to restrain her  from jumping off the flat.

Ms Tembo said it was at that the time when he jumped off that he was quickly rushed to the hospital by neighbours where he later died.

And Ndola Central Hospital Public Relations Officer Shawna Chilimba confirmed the incidence saying the doctor was brought in at around 20,00 hours and was immediately rushed to the intensive care unit. She said the doctor later died at around 22.00 hours.

Sometimes demons can kill. So if he had demons that possessed him, they could have thrown him down to his death. I believe that if that was the case then it is not his fault. God who sees all is the judge.

Doctors are frustrated with working conditions pa zed, wen one is flown out of zed to receive medical treatment in SA or elsewhere its sad to say that they are attended to by zed doc working in the diaspora. However, suicide is NOT the solution there should be a way out to any challenge in life regardless of age, rich or poor educated or uneducated learned or unlearned.

My Friend, I’m shocked at the news of your death. Shocked even more by the way you have died. Why do the good die young and some idiots live(like the ones speaking negatively on this blog).
May your soul rest with God. He is the final judge and we as your friends pray for you always.
We shall celebrate your life. Travel in peace.

Hope he was not one of the many Doctors currently conducting illegal abortions in our Neighborhoods at a fee and then the operation yielded negative results thereby occasioning untimely death of the client in the makeshift theater room. This practice is unfortunately becoming so common among our young men and women in our communities.

am 28 and still trying to clear grade 12 so that i can enrol into unza to study medicine, but this fool who is also 28 like me takes his own life!!!!! I guess the doc was a very very frustrated man, perhaps he wanted to be a police officer or better still a prison warder BUT HIS PARENTS FORCED HIM TO STUDY MEDICINE AND YOU THE END RESULTS.

OK, so this was a planned move, instead of taking overdose at your hospital, u decided to think about commiting sucide by your sister’ s place since she stays at a very tall building. Y haunt her for the rest of her life do?? Please spare your sister. Anyway we know that u are in hell busy fucking with Lucifer!!

    Its unfortunate.
All problems have solutions death not being a solution.
If we could know the Lord we would be able to overcome such temptations from the evil one.

From the postings here, it seems this young doctor was a nonentity, people didn’t know him, probably he just graduated, but all the same from ACC reports it seems he had 2 children from 2 different women , a Tonga and a Bemba, he opted to cohabitate with a tonga and was due to wed in a month, UKWA GOT angered for forsaking his own tribe and the Dr was going to be arrested soon, hence the decision

You people commenting here no nothing. Let he without sin cast the first stone. Nobody will know what went through his mind when he jumped, that is a story he took with him. We have no safe system in place for people to share their problems with a trusted individual. If you did not know him, you have no right to judge. Nobody does. It is pointless now coming up with stories of why he did it. Where will that get you? You just need something to take the focus off your own pathetic lives and this is just the story. Rest in Peace Kanyanta. Forget these clowns. They cant even spell.

    • Truth   January 10, 2013 at 07:58

i would totally agree with the peace maker, you guys talking the most dont even know Doctor kk ,we who shared his stories and memories with him know what kind of a person he was and now he only has God to answer to not any of us.Truth be told we all have our issues and we all take out stress in our on ways, some bottle it in some, drink, somedance some just do stupid things.
So lets all just Let he without sin cast the first stone.
