Nedson Nzowa to implicate Nevers Mumba as per Watchdog revelations

Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) President Dr. Nevers Mumba is being politically persecuted according to a source from office of the Auditor General.

Dr. Mumba who is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow Monday March 25, 2013 accused of abuse of office by authorising to repair electrical faults and replace a carpet at the Zambian High Commission in Canada.

But the source said officers from the Auditor General’s office have been to Canada three times at the instruction of President Sata and have found nothing to incriminate Dr. Mumba.

And according to the Auditor General’s report for the year ending December 2011 and obtained by the Zambian Watchdog, the Zambia’s High Commission to Canada does not appear on the list of Missions abroad found wanting.

The latest Auditor General’s report list the following missions in wanting

Lubumbashi, Washington, Lilongwe, London, Dar-es-Salaam, Gaborone, Maputo, Windhoek, Brussels, Harare, Berlin, Pretoria, Paris, and Rome.

And a source at the joint investigations team has confirmed the story earlier carried by this site that President Sata had tasked Nedson Nzowa to find something to implicate Dr. Mumba before he is rewarded with the position of Permanent Secretary tourism.

Nzowa is expected to be the first State witness to be called to the stand tomorrow. See story here

I do not know how Missions are working now, but from what I know the Deputy to the Ambassador/High Commissioner is the Head of the Chancery and approves what is to be repaired at the Chancery and Residence, Nzowa must have co-signed or alone signed the expenditure document.

That is how Kangaroo courts operate.Even judgement is already made in form of paying huge sums of money so that his party becomes financially crippled and expurged from being effective.

GFunny comments as usual. Why worry if the man is clean? Only the truth and not insults or death wishe being written here will set him free. If he diverted public funds to personal use, then let him face the law on earth and letter God during judgement day! So chaps relax and wait for the truth to come out. There should be no sacred cows in this nation.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous man but the Lord delivers him from them all – from the Holy Bible and explained by Pastor Imakando during preaching yesterday. The Lord will set up a table for His own in the midist of their enemies. Those who give false witness normally perish by the Hand of God.

To Dr Mumba, here is what the Lord your God says: Can you take away a soldier’s loot? Can you rescue the PRISONERS OF A TYRANT? The Lord replies; “THAT is exactly what WILL happen. The soldier’s prisoners WILL be taken away and the tyrant’s loot WILL BE SEIZED. I will fight against whoever fights you, and I WILL rescue your children. I WILL make YOUR OPPRESSORS KILL EACH OTHER, they will be drunk WITH MURDER AND RAGE. Then the whole human race will know that I AM the Lord, the one who saves you SETS YOU FREE. They will know that I am Israel’s powerful God. Isaiah 49: 24-26.

Do NOT, persecute innocent people, it never pays!

  18. Kay Love   March 24, 2013 at 13:31

Investigate him until he proves himself innocent. He put the money given to Amayenge Band in his personal account the hell why I don’t know but obviously wanting.
Why didn’t Nzowa report any irregulaties to the govt back then as he was the vice to Mumba. Even him should be involved in one way or the other if at all there is corruption activities.
Make sure they face the law and justice must prevail at all cost.

  19. GLM   March 24, 2013 at 13:25

law is law dont confuse it with things you dont understand

      • Mwanarob   March 24, 2013 at 13:21

You are right. Zambians like to run to bible verses when things are just okay. The man will be tried and if found wanting, should account for what he did. The Word of God is true and is alive, but please do not use it for selfish little issues.

      • Y2N   March 24, 2013 at 15:41

YES, law is law but it must be applied correctly. Persecution is where you take someone to court when you know he has no case agaist the state then you foolishly enter a nolle. Prosecution is where you take somenone to court with a good case against him and reasonably call for a conviction. Judge for yourself. Myself I believe Sata does not understand law, even in its simplest terms. Man of action was then, now he has failed.

This is nonsense we need to stand up Zambia before our Democracy is destroyed by this gvt with no version

  26. Czar   March 24, 2013 at 11:40

Why did Nzowa keep quiet at the time when these illegalities (as you call them) were allegedly being committed? To borrow your language, why did Nzowa “embrace crime and trivialize
serious allegations of crime risking taking the country to medieval times”?

  27. Oldmadala   March 24, 2013 at 11:37

If they are not ‘super electrical fittings and carpet’, let them get quotes from radian stores and phillips electricals and i will humbly foot the bill! Pursuing lollipops and baloons! Kekekekeke. Am sure there is little to do in some so called high offices of the land!

What Sata should been doing is asking for forgiveness from people he has wronged and God in these last days of his. Touch not my annointing,a friendly warning Sata.

    • dexter   March 24, 2013 at 12:53

      which anointed one

      • kolwe satana   March 24, 2013 at 16:47

Why are you pretending? You mean you don’t know the anointed one? What God has anointed will remain anointed. Even if Dr NM commits sin it is easier for him to re-align himself with God much quicker because he knows the route and how to seek forgiveness. You are the one who is going against what God has placed upon someone. Stop being a judge because you are too low to understand things of the Holy Spirit. This is the more reason why people like you together with your MS are having sleepless nights because the anointing is too great & giving you tough time.

  33. Tweende   March 24, 2013 at 10:54

  34. sisi   March 24, 2013 at 10:52

As deputy high commissioner, Nzowa knew the illegalities Mumba committed.

Its not just accidental and not for repairing faulty electrical or merely replacing a carpet.

This site’s insatiable appetite to embrace crime and trivialize serious allegations of crime risks taking the country to the medieval times.

      • sisi   March 24, 2013 at 13:32

I have no quarrels about Sata or even his entire govt being cited for abuse of office or corruption if prima facie case is established.

There must be no sacred cows in this fight.

Even the opposition leaders must come clean before they get into office. The effects of corruption affects every one and cuts across partisan lines

This is the only sure way we can start cleaning our country
