There seem 2b strong belief in witchcraft in our rural parts of the nation & education can be the answer. A strong belief in God ‘ll help minimise de fear of death. MTSRIP (hope they knew God)

But witches must also realize that society no longer tolerates such evils. Tumfwiti twapaka such that they even advertise in Mmembe’s post’s sangwapo pages. Some of these witches call themselves professors, Doctors etc as though they have studied in colleges and universities. The Bible gives authority to kill witches.

This primitivity of killing elders is getting out of hand. What kind of society are we trying to have where all our elders are seen as witches and should be summarily eliminated? No no no, we cannot continue on this path. The law needs to be strengthened on this issue! Life is being made cheap where anyone can butcher another anyhow with impunity!

Very sad to hear this. So if we were going to look at this closely we can find out that these guys who point accusing finger to their relatives most of them are HIV positive and its denial that makes them attack others. We must educate them that witchcraft has no place in modern societies.

It is not wise to father children in your sixties or later! The late Mwanza was 63 years old when he fathered the idiot who has killed him. At that age, he was probably too old to play and psychologically connect with that idiot. Saying that, I am in no way saying the criminally inclined idiot deserves any mercy. When I read of such, it galvanises my support for the death penalty to be maintained and retained in the new constitution.

I agree with you on death penalty!

Difficult to know whether the accused did practice witchcraft or not? Prayers would have helped in this case and not axing them.

Kanjela is talking because the killings are extra judicial and taking the law in peoples own hands. What of the killings of the C5 which are purely extra judicial? C5 is setting a precedent that we can also kill without listening to the other side of the story

Witchcraft also known as black magic. The key word is magic. Magic is not real and people should not be caught up in the illusion. Only God is capable of miracles. what can we do about this?

    • Cactus   April 1, 2013 at 08:38

Husen you are truly brain-washed and extremely primitive not to realize that witchcraft is nothing but a mind game. Soon someone will accuse you of the same thing and kill you too.
