Mama Betty Kaunda passed on last night (Tuesday) in Harare, Zimbabwe.
She was 84 years old.
Sources have told the Watchdog that Dr. Kaunda’s wife died at her daughter’s home in Harare.
The daughter, Musata Kaunda Banda is the counsellor at the High Commission in Zimbabwe.
She was appointed by former president Rupiah Banda.
She is married to a Mr. James Banda.
The first president Kenneth Kaunda is said to be out of the country.
Dr. Kaunda and wife recently celebrated the 66th marriage anniversary at a moving function.
