The United Party for National Development (UPND) Hakainde Hichilema has castigated Vice President George Kunda for demanding that Lusaka based MPs who are sitting on the National Constitutional Conference (NCC) should be awarded an increment.
Hichilema said it is shameful to see a leader wanting to waste more tax payer’s money and demanded that the Vice President inform the nation as to when the NCC would complete its mandate.
He challenged Kunda to ensure that an independent election body is established before the 2011 elections.
Meanwhile,Patriotic Front (PF) youth national secretary, Eric Chanda said the MMD can no longer be entrusted with public funds are the party is wasteful.
Chanda said the MMD is misusing public funds the party is aware that it will lose to the opposition in the forthcoming elections.
