ACC boss resigns due to corruption at state house

Anti Corruption Commission Director General Roswyn Wandi has handed in a letter of resgination to outgoing President Edgar Lungu.
Sources at State House have disclosed that Mrs. Wandi handed in the letter to President Edgar Lungu this morning citing among other things frustration from State Officials on the fight against corruption.
” She has written to H.E (His Excellency) she is frustrated that corruption is actually starting from State House and she can not continue” a source said. In a brief statement ACC Board Chairperson Justice Timothy Kabalata confirmed the development.
However, Justice Kabalata was not categorical but simply stated that ” The ACC Director General has given notice to vacate office”.
Wandi’s departure follows the departure of respected Auditor General Anna Chifungula early this year.
