ACC clears Kambwili, Malupenga

The Anti Corruption Commission has cleared Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili and former Labour deputy Minister Ronald Chitotela of corruption allegations

The Commission has also cleared North Western Province Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga of corruption allegations relating to the awarding of the digital migration tender.

ACC Public Relations Manager Timothy Moono has told a media briefing in Lusaka this morning that the allegations against Mr Chitotela who was accused of abusing constituency development funds for Pambashe constituency could not be substantiated.

Moono  also said that the ACC decided to close the investigation against Mr Kambwili with regards a congratulatory advertisement placed in print media on his acquisition of a degree from CopperStone University after the allegations could not be proved,but that the Commission has made recommendations to the Ministry for Youth and Sport for administration action to be taken against some officials at the Ministry.

Moono further states that the commission has also closed the investigation against former Information and Broadcasting permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga because allegations against him were not substantiated.
