ACC gives Chitotela more charges

The Anti-Corruption Commission in Lusaka has arrested Housing and Infrastructure Development minister Ronald Chitotela again and slapped him with fresh corruption related charges.

Chitotela’s wife has also been charged.

The Watchdog has been informed on the sidelines that he has been slapped with a charge of concealing property believed to be proceeds of crime.

According to police sources, Chitotela and his wife concealed several properties by changing names of ownership.

Among the properties ACC say were concealed are houses and a fleet of heavy duty Trucks registered under the name Swift Transport which is originally known to be owned by Goodward Mulubwa of Chati Breweries.

‘He concealed properties like houses and trucks. The trucks are parked in Kitwe at Mr. Mulubwa’s workshop. They are actually registered under the fleet name Swift when we have proof he owns them,’ one source said.
