Former Transport and Communication Minister William Harrington has officially lodged in a complaint against former Tourism Minister Sylvia Masebo.
In a two paged formal complaint to the moribund Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Harrington says the Roydah Kaoma tribunal found Masebo guilty of breaching the provisions of the Public Procurement Authority and the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) Acts.
Harrington has since asked the ACC to invoke the provisions of the ACC act so that the tribunal is not rendered a mere academic exercise. Harrington official complaint comes barely days after Masebo had sued Harrington for costs. Masebo wants Harrington to pay for her legal fees which she incurred when appeared at the tribunal. Harrington has copied his official complaint to the President Michael Sata, Speaker of National Assembly and the Inspector General of Police. It is yet to be known if the ACC will act on Harrington’s official complaint because the ACC itself is corrupt as it only investigates cases of high profile people that are not politically connected. It has to date failed to investigate Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba on alleged corrupt practices with oil giant Trafigura. See official complaint below
