The Anti-Corruption Commission has confirmed receiving a number of queries regarding allegations of corruption involving some Cabinet Ministers in the PF government.
ACC Public Relations Manager Timothy Moono told Hot FM Radio though he could not disclose further details but assured to issue a comprehensive statement on the matter in the course of this week.
And Mr. Moono has disclosed that investigations into the alleged corruption in the cancellation of the Ministry of Home Affairs CCTV tender have reached an advanced stage.
Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu received cancelled a multi-million dollar CCTV contract awarded to a Chinese firm after reports of corruption in the deal.
Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba recently revealed that there are a number of corrupt ministers serving in the PF government.
Some observers have since called on the ACC to follow up Kabimba’s revelations and investigate such reports.
