Just like we reported in the morning, acting president Guy Scott has not been to the venue of the chaotic PF general conference.
Information has emerged that the acting president has actually gone into Kohima barracks.
Fears were raised that the Zambia Police might not be able to properly protect the acting president from Lungu’s thugs. A group of soldiers was sent to come and check on the security situation on the ground but advised that it was not conducive.

The Watchdog yesterday reported that thugs supporting Edgar Lungu have infiltrated the police.

Thrown is disarray, some PF Central Committee members have followed Scott to the barracks where he is ‘hiding’ to get facts about rumours that he has cancelled the General Conference.

It is reported that earlier when Scott arrived in Kabwe, he called for a meeting of candidates to diffuse the tension but Edgar Lungu stormed out of the meeting saying he had not gone to Kabwe for meetings but to vote.

Sources say Scot had called for a meeting of candidates to discuss issues of violence that led to Miles Sampa withdrawing and Former First Lady Christine Kaseba shunning the conference but Members of the Central Committee in support of Lungu stormed the meeting and soon after stormed out of the meeting threatening that he will direct his supporters to riot.
