PF government has directed the contractor building the Michael Chilufya Sata girls boarding school in Isoka to immediately stop the works barely two weeks after losing the Kapililonga by election to opposition Rainbow party.

Education deputy minister Sydney Mushanga accused Covec Construction company of using substandard crashed stones in the K45 million project. Mushanga said that the works will only commence after a proper source of crashed stones is found.

But some Engineers from the ministry of works and supply have dispelled Mushanga’s assertions, attributing the project suspension to the bitter loss of the ward by election early this month.

Mushanga, a former Catholic Church altar boy was last week raking allowances in his disguised trip of inspecting projects in Muchinga province while there are qualified Engineers and building inspectors employed by the government in the province.
