Zambian artist Robert Banda also known as Roberto has threatened to sue Airtel and Immobia dealings for failing to settle payment regarding caller ring back tones, wall papers and song down loads.
Roberto explained to Kitwe based radio Flava FM that his music saved as ROBERTO which is being downloaded via Airtel with tone codes like 1455 for the song ROBERTO _ CHAWAMA are on the Airtel data base.
He explains that Payments for song downloads which were supposed to have been cleared 4 months ago, and are spaced in 3 month payments have not been cleared adding that his contract dates back to May 2011.
Roberto notes that persistent conversations regarding payments and statistics of payment down loads with Mr. Sydney C. Sampa who represents Immobia, have been fruitless.
He said, despite ZAMCOPS and the Zambia Associations for Musicians persistently calling the duo for meetings over the matter, nothing has been done.
Immobia representative Sidney Sampa has however acknowledged the payments have been delayed but assured that the artists would be paid soon.
Mr. Sampa could however not say how much has been accumulated from the down loads.
By Press Time, Airtel Zambia had not given its position over the matter even after requesting for a press query.
