The Samsung Galaxy S5 was launched by Airtel Zambia Chief Executive Officer Charity Lumpa in Lusaka on Friday April 11, 2014.
When she unveiled the phone, Ms. Lumpa said the S5 comes with faster speed and more efficiency compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Among the several features on the Samsung Galaxy S5 is a Finger Print Sensor which is Paypal certified, Dust and Water resistant, MicroSD with up to 128GB capacity and a 16MP Camera.
The S5 also has an HDR Video, Air gestures, Smart stay, Smart pause and smart scroll.
Ms.Lumpa said the first 100 customers will receive 1GB of free data for four months. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is going at slightly under Zambian Kwacha 5000 K4,945 to be specific.
The launch was witnessed by Communication and Transport Deputy Minister Colonel Panji Kaunda and former First Lady Maureen Mwanawasa.
