Police in Western Province have arrested another Barotse Freedom Movement (BFM) member in connection with the tearing of 113 translated draft constitution copies in Mongu which occurred a couple of weeks ago.
Provincial Police Commissioner Fanwell Siandenge confirmed the development today and said Muyangwa Mungwaluka was arrested Thursday morning about 60 kilometers away from Kalabo Boma.
The arrest of Mungwaluka brings the total number of the people arrested so far to 17.
Mungwaluka is charged with other 16 for destroying 113 copies of the Zambian draft constitution valued at K655, 400 contrary to section 335 of the penal code cap 87 of the laws of Zambia, while in the second count they are charged with conduct likely to cause a breach of peace contrary to section 278 of the penal code cap 87 of the Zambian laws.
