Another Zambian-Indian gunned

Armed robbers have shot and wounded a businessman of Asian origin in Kafue districts and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Kafue Police Officer in Charge John Milambo confirmed the incident to ZANIS today and said robbers broke into the businessman’s house in early hours of today.

Mr. Milambo identified the businessmen as Muhammad Lunat, owner of Lunat Outfitters of Kafue.

He explained that around 04 hours this morning, the robbers, armed with a shotgun, got into Mr. Lunat’s house and demanded to be given money.

He said when Mr. Lunat tried to hesitate, the robbers lifted him and squeezed him against the before shooting him in the stomach using a shot gun.

Mr. Milambo said the businessman was however rushed straight to the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka for treatment after neighbors and friends were phoned.

He said police have since launched a manhunt for the robbers.
