Zambian army commander Paul Mihova says Zambia fully supports the so called ‘one-China policy’.
And PF secretary General Wynter Kabimba is also in China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.
General Mihova who is currently visiting China as part of Zambia newly gained love for countries like China, Cuba, Sudan and others met Chang Wanquan, state councilor and minister of national defense of the People’s Republic of China (PRC)
Mihova spoke highly of of what he called the Zambia-China traditional friendship and the fruitful cooperation between the two countries. He expressed that the Zambian side attaches great importance to its relations with China, and firmly pursues and supports the one-China policy.
For his part, China’s minister of defence Chang Wanquan said Zambia is a good friend and a good partner of China in Africa. He said the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have been always developing in a steady and healthy way since the diplomatic ties was established 49 years ago, as evidenced by the mutual understanding and mutual support on issues involving each other’s core interests and major concerns between the two countries.
He noted the Chinese and Zambian militaries have maintained a long-term friendly cooperation and will continue the high-level reciprocal visits, expand personnel exchange, enhance pragmatic cooperation, build closer relations between the two militaries so as to make new contributions to further deepening of the friendly cooperative relations between China and Zambia.
Meanwhile, PF secretary general is also in China representing the Sudanese based Council of African Political Parties (CAPP). Kabimba is in China to attend a special conference at the invitation of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).
The Conference is being hosted by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and co-hosted by CPC Committee of Shaanxi Province.
