As revealed by ZWD, Kanyama paves way for Kangwa at ZNBC

Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation-ZNBC- Director General Chibamba Kanyama has resigned, juts as reported bt the Watchdog over a month ago.

ZNBC Board Chairman John Mulwila has announced Mr Kanyama’s resignation in Lusaka on Saturday.

According to Mulwila, Kanyama will be taking up a new job at the International Monetary Fund-IMF as Communication Advisor but the Watchdog knows that this is just a way of bringing in a member of the family forest.

Ben Kangwa to take over as ZNBC director

Deputy Chief of Mission at the Zambian Embassy in Washington DC, United States, Ben Kangwa will soon return to take over as ZNBC director General.

Current Director Chibamba Kanyama is said to be headed to some World Bank or IMF job in USA as a compromise, according to sources in the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Kangwa left the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) in 2007 at the level of director of programmes and official spokesperson following his appointment as first press secretary to the same embassy. By then he had worked for ZNBC for 25 years.
