The Barotse Royal Establishment has castigated the PF government over unfulfilled promises to extend development to that part of the country.
While ailing dictator Michael Charles Katongo Mwango Chilufya Sata has been directing massive infrastructure development in his home province of Muchinga, the King Lewanika University and the Mongu stadium which he promised to build in Western province remains on papers.
Induna Katema expressed the displeasure of the Barotse people when Western province minister Richwel Siamunene paid what he called a courtesy call on the BRE. Siamunene is the expelled Sinazongwe UPND MP whom Sata has continued to keep in parliament.
After winning elections, Sata promised to build the two institutions in the province but this has remained undone, while the Paul Mushindo and Kapasa Makasa universities in Muchinga province have received huge funding.
