Bembas were used and now dumped by Sata- Fr. Bwalya

Bembas were used to win the 2011 elections for the Patriotic Front have now become irrelevant and have been dumped together with their Province.

According to ABZ president Fr Frank Bwalya, the statement by Vice-President Guy Scott that the PF did not care if it lost the Kasama Central seat or indeed Northern Province has proved that the Patriotic Front (PF) and President Michael Sata used the people of Kasama and the entire Northern Province to win the 2011 general elections and have now declared them irrelevant, Alliance for a Better Zambia president Frank Bwalya has charged.

Fr Bwalya has said that President Sata was using Dr Scott to continue attacking former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba and the Bemba people of Northern Province because he no longer had use for them.

He said the PF could afford to insult the people that helped them win the 2011 elections because they will not need them for the 2016 elections, He warned that the PF had not only lost Kasama Central but the entire Northern Province because the ruling party had declared war against the people of the region by refusing to recognize the newly installed Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

Fr Bwalya said President Sata had decided to realign Muchinga Province from the Northern region because he had no use for the voters from Northern Province after winning the 2016 elections.

He said President Sata was the most ungrateful man he had ever met and who did not appreciate the help other people had rendered to him in his political career.

He said the ruling party has lost the support of the majority of the people that had supported them while in the opposition and that the PF was no longer looking at using the same people to remain in power after 2016.

Fr Bwalya said it was clear that the PF was now counting on other illegal strategies to win the 2016 general elections because they had realized that their support in Kasama and Northern Province had plummeted to its lowest ebb.

He said Vice-President Guy Scott and other PF officials were challenging Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba to resign from the party because they had realized that that they had antagonized the majority of voters across the country.

Dr Scott has been quoted in some sections of the media as challenging the Kasama Central Member of Parliament to name the corrupt people in the ruling party.

But last year, Dr Scott and Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba had publicly branded the PF a corrupt and tribal political party.

Kabimba is on record as having told the nation that he had empirical evidence that there were ministers in the PF that were corrupt while Dr Scott told Parliament that he had forwarded the names of the corrupt ministers to the investigation agencies.

“PF has lost Kasama and Northern Province. They have lost the support of the majority of the people. They are no longer counting on the people they used to form government and they are now counting on other strategies, which are surely illegal.

They can now afford to insult people from the regions that helped them win the elections in 2011.

As for Kasama Central, intelligence reports have reached them that they cannot retain the seat should they expel GBM,” Fr Bwalya said.

He said the PF would not be able to go back to the same people they had maligned and insulted to ask for votes.
