Black Friday Protest flops, as South African stores record normal business in Zambia

The planned protest by Zambians to boycott buying from South African shops today as a solidarity move against the xenophobia being practiced in that country has flopped as most shops have remained open with many usual queues.

A check by the Watchdog at Mandahill and East Park mall in Lusaka found Shoprite, game stores and many other South African shops open. Some customers spoken to said they were not aware and that they saw no relevance in boycotting but called on the African leaders to sanction South Africa.
