Bloody Photos of CBU students beaten by police on independence day

Three of them have been taken to hospital as seen in the photos. This happened around 15 hours today (on Independence day) but the University was still surrounded by armed police by 17:30 hours.

A student locked inside the surrounded University told the Watchdog that:

Its tense here at copperbelt university-CBU we are surrounded by 1000s of soldiers and policemen with trucks deployed by PF government! They are throwing teargas and breaking our doors arresting innocent students,some are being rushed to kitwe central hospital due to brutal beatings! This follows after some CBU students who went in town demonstrating peacefully with the campaign; ‪#‎we‬ don’t fear being arrested we fear for another impending closure on tuesday! We are in fear now!
