Mr. Hichilema cited increase in electricity tariffs, transport, mealie meal, and other essential commodities as some of the areas that the current government has no plans.
The UPND leader was speaking during his phone-in contribution to Sky forum radio programme on Sky FM this morning.
Mr. Hichilema said farmers in the country are having difficulties sending children to school because of the unsold agriculture produce.
He disclosed that he is currently supporting more than 30 vulnerable children across the country in school fees because they are not getting help from government.
And Mr. Hichilema has cautioned spokesperson for Matero MP, Ompie Hamiyanze, against being an embarrassment to the nation by wasting time on trivial issues that don’t benefit the people.
He said Mr. Hamiyanze is being used for selfish motives accusing him having runaway from his people to enjoy the comforts being given to him in Matero at expense of the suffering majority.
