British envoy pledges to help fight corruption

British High Commissioner to Zambia, Tom Carter has pledged his country’s commitment to assisting the Michael Sata regime in the fight against corruption.

Speaking in Lusaka, Carter said Britain has in the past given support to the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and will continue to work closely with the commission.

He noted that corruption is a cancer that calls for concerted efforts to wipe it out, adding that citizens must work with the government and fight the vice.

Carter further said the new regime must avail the British government with suggestions on how best Zambia can be assisted to win the fight against corruption.
