Bus fares for all long distance routes increased by 15%

Passenger fees for all long distance routes from Intercity in Lusaka have been increased by 15 per cent folowing the increase in fuel prices.

Bus operators and the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) agreed to hike the fares Monday afternoon after long meeting.

A source who attended the meeting told the Watchdog: ‘It is confirmed that fares for intercity buses have been hiked by 15%.

The agreement was reached after a long deliberation between Ratsa and the operators today in the afternoon’.
