Cabinet meeting moved from state house to accommodate huge number

Today’s cabinet meeting was held at Government Complex due to the unprecedented number of members following President Lungu’s decision to include Deputy and Provincial Ministers for the first time.

The weekly cabinet meetings which are normally held at State House will now attract additional costs as President Lungu has to move from State House to Government complex where there is enough space to accommodate the mob of PF Ministers and their multiple deputies.

President Lungu had indicated when he became President in January this year that he was considering the inclusion of Deputy and Provincial Ministers in Cabinet meetings.

President Lungu finally announced the inclusion of all deputy ministers in Cabinet meetings last week.
