Zambian soccer skipper Christopher Katongo has been thrown out of the Zambian camp currently preparing for the must-win game against Niger on Wednesday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Sources say Katongo has been thrown out of the camp following differences with the coaching bench that is equally frustrated with poor organisation.
Zambia, the 2012 African soccer champions, currently lie third in the group following their poor performance and dis-organisation in travel arrangements that have seen the team literally arrive for games barely hours before kick-off.
While all this confusion is happening, the minister in charge of sports Chishimba Kambwili has been busy fighting with small boys and girls at the University of Zambia, where he recently stormed lecture rooms and threatened to expel all the Mass Communication students.
Last week, the soccer players snubbed Kambwili at the airport as the chartered plane organised by his ministry was again delayed by over 8 years forcing the team to play with jet lag in Niamey.
