CBU students annoyed that PF govt wants to postpone opening again

The Watchdog informed this country as early as February that the PF government has not money to sponsor students at the Copperbelt University. Some people were arguing as usual.
Here is a notice from students’ representatives:

THE PRESIDENT-COBUSU EXECUTIVE
To : STUDENTS COMMUNITY
Date : Friday – 17TH APRIL 2015
Subject: URGENT STATUS QUO
Afternoon ladies and gentlemen, SPECIAL SENATE Following a senate meeting which was held on Wednesday 15th April 2015 in which the university resolved to open as scheduled, information reached the powers that be and just like in 2013, 2014 and like we had said in the print media Post newspaper the government has written to the university for an extension that they are not ready, maybe they have no money.
This entails that the opening dates will be 26th MAY 2015 first years report, 1st JUNE 2015 returning students. We are very disappointed, government knew since last year that CBU opens at this time but were sleeping, what if also every sponsor, mothers and father request also for an extension because they don’t have money for tuition fees when are we going to finish..? And what if its true government has no money how much more our guardians and parents..!!!
As Cobusu we are not happy with such measures of imposing on institutions of higher learning and we condemn the behaviour of instituting disciplinary actions on union leaders due to failure by the powers that be.. And to Every STUDENT let’s us remain UNITED, this year will not be an easy ONE but we shall Conquer every battle Day or Night Viva fellow panaceas Viva..!!!
HUMPHREY MWENYA MILANDILE COBUSU PRESIDENT
