CBU vice-chancellor, PF cadres want students to rent their boarding houses

CBU vice-chancellor Naison Ngoma and a number of PF cadres around the university own boarding houses that they want the students to rent instead of staying with friends in campus, according to highly placed sources.

Mr. Ngoma yesterday announced the closure of the institution after days of protests at the university as a result of the management decision to stop students from squatting.

Sources said boarding houses belonging to Mr. Ngoma and some PF cadres have sprung up in Kitwe and any moves by the students to occupy the university hostels kills their business as they would like them to rent their houses at exorbitant fees.
