CCZ calls for strengthening of ACC to curb corruption

Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) General Secretary Reverend Suzanne Matale has called on the Patriotic Front (PF) government to strengthen the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) so that it fights the rampant corruption in the country.

Speaking in Lusaka, Matale said it is important to for President Michael Sata to strengthen the ACC as he has pledged to curb all forms of corruption.

She said her organization is glad to note that the PF government has committed itself to delivering a people driven constitution in 90 days.

Matale noted that a good constitution is critical to good governance and the new regime must ensure that all tenets of democracy that have been aspired for are included in the rule of law.

The Reverend further appealed to President Sata and his cabinet to address all challenges the country is facing and work in line with the aspirations of the voters.
