Chief Hamaundu praises President Sata

The people of Chief Hamaundu have paid glowing tribute to President Michael Sata for declaring Pemba as a district.

They have also thanked the president for transferring the provincial capital from Livingstone to Choma.

Chief Hamaundu’s representative, Daniel Hangwemu, was speaking in Pemba yesterday when a Choma based NGO known as My Home Town donated a
brand new Toyota Prado vehicle to Chief Monze.

The function was also attended by Chiefs Monze and Bright Nalubamba. Mr Hangwemu said it is only President Sata who has responded to the
cry of the people of Hamaundu to have Pemba granted district status.

He said again it is only President Sata who has positively responded to the desire of the people of Southern province to have their
provincial capital moved to a central place like Choma.

Mr Hangwemu said the people of Chief Hamaundu are highly indebted to President Sata for the gesture.

He also thanked South African based Zambian Businessman and founder of My Home Town, James Ndambo for donating a brand new Toyota Prado to
Chief Monze.

He said this gesture which demonstrates a spirit of selflessness by the businessman is heartening.
