Chief Nsefu: Yes I killed impalas but ZAWA officers also poach

Senior Chief Nsefu of the Kunda people in Mambwe district has been arrested for poaching.
The traditional leader who was taken  to  Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) offices in Chipata confirmed his own arrest to Breeze radio.
He says that he was arrested for killing three wild animals, two Puku and one impala in the South Luangwa National Park.
Chief Nsefu however, complained over the decision to arrest him saying ZAWA officers have been involved in poaching but he has not taken any action against them.
A Breeze FM Staffer who rushed to ZAWA offices Saturday in the afternoon found a combined team of police and ZAWA officers getting details of the chief.
And ZAWA Senior Prosecutions Officer who declined to be named could neither confirm nor deny the arrest of the traditional leader.
He however, stated that he had not received a docket on the matter, but indicated that the chief was released on police bond.

The traditional leader is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
