Chiluba’ spokesperson will go in foreign service – Zulu

Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary George Zulu says Emmanuel Mwamba has not refused to be appointed in the Foreign Service.
The Watchdog revealed on Wednesday that Mwamba has rejected a job as PF envoy to India or Malaysia because he wants a bigger position of minister of information.
But Zulu, one of the most corrupt government officials told government controlled and funded ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that Mr Mwamba has accepted is position with pride.

Zulu could not even state the country and the position Mwamba will be deployed, saying they are still working on logistics.

Yet when playboy Antony Mukwitwa was appointed to Sweden it was announced immediately.

He said Mwamba has already been served with a letter of appointment and he has accepted his position in writing. Yet they are working on logistics? Does he need a special plane or what?

Mr Zulu said Mr Mwamba has already started his diplomacy training at the Zambia Institute of Diplomacy Studies (ZIDIS).

He said Mwamba and others who are going in the Foreign Service have been at the training school for a week now.

Zulu said it is unfortunate that people are spreading rumours that Mwamba has rejected the appointment when in fact not.

He said those spreading such rumours are enemies of progress who should not be listened to.
Mr Zulu said people must learn to speak the truth and not be in the habit of spreading rumours.

He said he is aware of the few that are spreading such rumours and the ministry is going to deal with them sternly.

Mr Zulu said he will not allow indiscipline in the country where people are allowed to tarnish the image of government.
