Elias Chipimo, leader of the opposition National restoration party, has called for a cautious approach towards the fight against corruption.
And Chipimo has urged government to urgently clarify concerns that president Michael Sata single-sourced a firm to renovate state house.
President Michael Sata is said to have awarded a contract to Finance minister Alexander Chikwanda’s firm Appolo to renovate State House. This was done secretly and without following tender procedure.
On corruption fight, Chipimo has appealed to law enforcement agencies and Government not to be excited over the discovery of K2.1-billion buried Austin Liato ’s farm.
He has since asked Government to close up any prospective gaps that are prone to abuse by public officers.
