Chitala betrays Lubinda and other friends

Chitala also betrayed close friend late Dean Mungomba

President Sata is reported to be very annoyed with Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister Given Lubinda for patronizing with close friends of former president Rupiah Banda.

This was after Sata was told by former Ambassador to Libya Mbita Chitala that Given Lubinda was very close to Gulam Patel and his close relatives who are reported to have masterminded Rupiah Banda’s fundraising ventures during the 2011 elections.

It is further alleged that Mbita Chitala told Sata that the Gulams even organized a meeting after they heard reports that Sata had died at which they resolved to support Given Lubinda as incoming president.

However someone close to Mbita Chitala said it was wrong for Mbita to betray his friends when even him has benefited from Patels together with former Home Affairs Minister Lameck Mangani and the now Eastern Province Minister Charles Banda.

“Derrick or Mbita whatever you call him was wrong to betray his friends. He has also benefited from the Patels, actually I’m told him was even given a Toyota Vigo Van. That’s typical of Chitala. When is he going to change? “the source said.

Meanwhile, two specialized police officers have been redeployed from State House to Police headquarters after President Sata found them at the gate talking to Mbita Chitala.

Sata who was driving himself from his house (Nkwazi House) found the second gate blocked by another vehicle and upon inquiring, he discovered that the two police officers were talking to Mbita Chitala.

It was after this development that Sata directed for their immediate redeployment.
