Chitimukulu admitted in Intensive Care Unit

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba has been admitted to the University Teaching Hospital’s intensive care unit in Lusaka.
The Watchdog understands that Chitimukulu was evacuated from his palace in Kasama last night and that he is in bad shape.
The traditional ruler has been in and out of hospital the past two years. He is suffering from diabetes and due to the acute nature of the diabetes; he lost sight two years ago.
Bemba custom prohibits discussing the death or health of Chitimukulu also known as Mwine Lubemba and therefore very little information is expected to be made public.
But sources have stressed that the paramount chief is in bad shape.
