Chitimukulu castigates PF government for agriculture inertia, as Clergy describes K45 mealie meal as a lie

The Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people has expressed worry that amid favourable rainfall in the Northern province, the region is likely to record a poor maize yield in the 2015/2016 farming season due to government inertia.

Speaking at his palace yesterday when Republican Vice President, Inonge Wina called on him; Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people of Northern and Muchinga Province attributed his worries to government’s delay to delivery farming input on time.

The traditional leader said government ought to put more emphasis towards the agricultural sector, charging that there is an element of inertia at the moment.He stated that officers from the ministry of agriculture started despatching urea fertilizer yesterday after they heard that the republican vice president was expected in the area.

And responding to the concerns raised by the Paramount Chief Chitimukulu, Republican Vice President, Inonge Wina expressed regret at the state of affairs and pledged that her government will address the matter.

Meanwhile a Clergy man has challenged the office of district commissioner Kelly Kashiwa to disclose where the government has offloaded cheaper mealie meal selling at K45 in Kasama otherwise it is treated as a lie.

Mountain of Deliverance Church Overseer, Prophet Ken Israel says he finds the statement attributed to District Commissioner, Kelly Kashiwa that government is selling Mealie meal at K45 in Kasama as a lie.

Prophet Israel who was flanked by Heaven manifested Embassy overseer, Prophet Joseph Chishimba has accused those in authority of misleading the people as regards to the reported Mealie meal.
