Former Local Government and Housing Minister Brian Chituwo has described Patriotic Front (PF) Kanyama Member of Parliament (MP) Colonel Gerry Chanda as naughty for alleging that he and former Vice President George Kunda misappropriated Constituency Development Funds meant for the construction of drainage systems in the constituency.
Speaking in Lusaka, Chituwo said there is no way he could have diverted the CDF for Kanyama due to the fact that a minister is a policy maker and does not have access to the money.
He also said Chanda’s allegations are false and only bent on tarnishing the images of him and the former Vice President.
Recently Chanda disclosed that he is in the process of taking Chituwo and Kunda to task so that the duo can explain how the 24 billion CDF for drainages in Kanyama was used.
The Kanyama MP further said there is need for urgent action in the constituency as the rains are imminent hence his decision to question the former Local Government Minister and Vice President.
