Coach Lwandamina fired

Zambia national soccer team coach George Lwandamina has been fired because the country’s failed to qualify to the African Nations Championship finals scheduled for Sudan next year.
Lwandamina’s assistants Lucky Msiska and Wedson Nyirenda will head the country’s under-23 national soccer team ahead of the 2012 London Olympics.

Lwandamina will be deployed to the technical department of the Zambia FA, says Communications Officer of the FAZ Erick Mwanza.

Zambia failed to qualify for Sudan 2011 following the 1-1 draw with South Africa at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium on Saturday.
