Free comedy and possible national embarassment awaits Zambians at Heroes Stadium in case ailing dictator Michael Sata makes it for the unveiling on Sunday.
Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili says the handover of another of late president Levy Mwanawasa’s projects will coincide with the African Freedom Day celebrations.
The newly built Heroes Stadium, which was earlier named as Gabon Disaster stadium by PF lunatics in Lusaka will finally be commissioned on Sunday, May 25 by President Michael Sata.
The 50, 000 capacity stadium was initially due for handover last year in September but has had to be delayed due to some challenges in putting up access roads and also water and electricity supply installations were overlooked in the initial construction process.
Heroes Stadium is one of the stadia Zambia is staking for the bid for hosting the 2019 Africa Cup.
Zambia are competing against Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Guinea and Algeria to host the continent’s football showpiece.
Each time Sata appears in public, the nation is not short of comedy and drama.
Recently in Livingstone during the pass-out parade for Zambia Air Force, Sata’s brain now suffering from dementia, was seeing UPND cadres trying to hijack him to some unknown destination.
Earlier during labour day celebrations, he failed to addressed workers and only kept playing and mocking Kenneth Kaunda’s bald-head.
Hold your breath this coming Sunday as we wait for the public performance from Sata free of charge.
