Commission of inquiry to question Siliya on Zamtel sale

Former Communications and Transport Ministers Dora Siliya is today, Friday expected at Mulungushi International Conference Centre to appear before a commission of inquiry in to the sale of Zamtel.

Chairman of the Commission, Sebastian Zulu who is also Justice Minister, told the media that Siliya has acknowledged the commission’s summon and will appear on questioning at 14.30 hours.

Zulu said the former communications minister has been called so that she can defend herself as it is known that she was a signatory to the sale of the telecommunications company.

Recently President Michael Sata constituted a commission of inquiry into the sale of Zamtel to Lap Green, a company of Libyan origin.
