Confusion has continued to surround the constitution making process after Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba has maintained that government will not grant a one month extension to the Technical Committee drafting the constitution.
As a result of the refusal to extend, The Constitution Technical Committee has now said it will hand over the raw document to government since they have refused to give them an extension.
The committee had asked for more money in their pockets to finish the documents, without realising that the PF government was actually too broke even for such otherwise important national assignments.
The PF government has so far exhausted all the money left by the MMD government on what is being termed as useless by-elections, and maintenance of the largest cabinet in Africa plus the first lady and the tax collections have been going down due to poor policies.
The raw document also suits well for PF who are determined to doctor the document to suit them, especially that they are on their way to gaining the right numbers in parliament to rubber stamp whatever they will want including what is being rumoured to be at attempt to extend the term of office from five to eight years before the possible expiry of ailing dictator Michael Sata.
