Copperbelt University students on class boycott over allowances

As the PF government is ferrying cadres from all over the country and paying each cadre K7, 000, students at the Copperbelt University have gone on class boycott due to failure by the government to pay them dues.

The University is scheduled to reopen today but students have not been paid accommodation, project and meal allowances, which were due last term.

CBU Students Union Publicity Secretary Moses Pankalamu Simfukwe has confirmed that the class boycott is in effect and would continue until further notice.

‘If anyone of you is having class, Plz report to any of the COBUSU EXECUTIVE or Post on Facebook..We shall come immediately with the Monk Police to Man-Handle You and Put you in the right place. #Twachula Sana! #We NEED OUR MONEY!,’ Simfukwe told students this morning.
