Corruption fighter Chifire faces arrest

Discredited Minister of Infrastructure Ronald Chitotela has agreed with Eastern province minister Makebi Zulu to prosecute corruption fighter Gregory Chifire for criminal defamation.

Instead of just suing Chifire for civil defamation, Makebi Zulu has advised Chitotela to instead go for criminal defamation which requires the police to be involved by arresting Chifire.

The panicky Chitotela who has already started the process using Zulu ‘s law firm says he wants Chifire detained.

According to a conversation intercepted by the Watchdog, Chitotela thinks Chifire is being used by former Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba and Chishimba Kambwili.

Not too long ago Chifire was the ire of the Watchdog and was called all sorts of names – now he is a “Corruption Fighter”.

Is he not fighting corruption by exposing the motor vehicles that the Road Development Agency (RDA) bought for Chitotela and his Permanent Secretary Mushota? Move with time boss and see people in the now.

Or you wanted the Watchdog to ignore Chifire’s fight against corruption by upholding his one-time unpatriotic status?

Be realistic boss! Whoever is fighting evil must be acknowledged because evil such as corruption will always be evil.

      Let us be patriotic bosses!

Sara – I expect you to realize that if you have no confidence in someone, then you should not trust them even when they sing praise songs for you. We all support those that genuinely want to fight corruption, not every charlatan shall now become a “corruption fighter”.

Abilima, this is a publication with not an ounce of principle and moral fortitude. As long as someone, at any moment in time, agrees with them they are willing to forget whether the person has committed egregious crimes that they were so busy pointing out (or even making up)previously. The only thing ZWD cares about is promoting its own agenda – at any cost.
I’ve seen it with so many public officials/politicians whom they trashed and vilified (Sata, Kabimba, Kambwili, etc), they then turn around and uphold or praise as paradigms of virtue, as long as they have agreed with them or supported some aspect of their agenda. It’s such total bs and hypocrisy. It would be one thing if those same people had a moral ground to stand on, they are the same corrupt, despicable people they always were. The minute they don’t – they will be back to slander and insults.
