Court dismisses petition by Lungu’s agents

The constitutional court has dismissed a petition in which president Edgar Lungu’s pimps wanted to increase the number of judges hearing whether Lungu is eligible to stand for a third term in 2021.

This is in the matter were Dan Pule, Peter Chanda and Wright Musona have petitioned the constitutional court to declare that Lungu is eligible to contest the 2021 elections.

The UPND were joined to this case as an interested party and argued that Lungu does not qualify. But from nowhere, Lungu’s agents started telling the court that they should increase the number of judges from 5 to 7. Maybe they wanted to include magistrate David Simusamba.

Dan Pule, Peter Chanda and Wright Musona are been assisted by some selfish and finished lawyers led by Sakwiba Sikota in their schemes.

But the court told them and their lawyers that a full bench does not mean 7 as they had been misled by Sakwiba Sikota but simply ‘an uneven number of not less than 3’.
The court also told this group that constituting a team of judges is an administrative matter and it’s not up to each petitioner to decide how many judges should hear their case.

The court therefore said the petition was irrelevant.
