DEC arrests ‘Asian-Zambian’ found with drugs in printer

The Drug Enforcement Commission has arrested an employee of SHABCO Milling in Lusaka for trafficking in 71 sachets of heroin.
Muhamad Mukada a Zambian of Asian origin was arrested from his Emmasdale home following a search that was conducted, DEC Public Relations Manager John Nyawali has confirmed.
Mukada, 23, had hidden the narcotics in a printer.
He is currently detained in Police custody.
Meanwhile, 36 people were arrested in the last two days for trafficking in different quantities of cannabis with a total weight 518 kilograms of the psychotropic substance.
Among those arrested is a grade nine pupil of Mulushi Basic School in Northern Province.
