DEC arrests man for ‘framing’ his boss with drugs

The Drug Enforcement Commission has arrested a transport officer at a Chinese owned Gold Common Mining Company in Lusaka for planting drugs against his supervisor and attempting to bribe officers.
Golden Kaluba, 39, was arrested together with Richard Matanga and Shadreck Sanyikosa both drivers at the stated company for planting five balls of cannabis against their Human Resource Manager.
DEC public relations manager John Nyawali says Kaluba, who is believed to be the mastermind of the scam, planted the drugs underneath the driver’s seat of his supervisor’s vehicle.
He said Kaluba planted drugs with the help of two other drivers in order to frame his supervisor who he had differed with.
According to Nyawali, Kaluba also attempted to bribe officers by offering them K960, 000 for having initially arrested his supervisor on drug trafficking charges but was later released after it was established that he was framed up.
