DEC retrieves cocaine from women’s vaginas

A Ndola based woman has been operated on to remove cocaine from her Vagina where she had hidden it.

28 year-old Emmy Nawale of Lubuto in Ndola was arrested on her arrival at the Lusaka International Airport aboard an Ethiopian Airline.

She and two other women who had also hidded the drug in their vaginas were coming from Pakistan.

Drug Enforcement Commission spokeperson John Nyawali explained that Emmy, who inserted a block of cocaine in her private parts was operated upon at the University Teaching Hospital to remove the contraband.

He said the cocaine was dangerously inserted and Emmy is still admitted in hospital but will be taken to court once she is better.

Nyawali named the two other women arrested as Sarah Chikwasa, 40, a resident of Kabinga in Ndola and Alice Sandi Mulonda, 39, a resident of Matero in Lusaka.

The two who were on Kenyan Airways flight number 424 had also inserted the cocaine in their private parts.
