Reliable sources from the PF secretariat have disclosed that Peter Msoni, the PF provincial chairman for Southern province was on an urgent trip to Lusaka to collect cash and plan on how to destabilise the UPND in Southern province.
The source told the Watchdog that Msoni, Brian Hapunda and other PF members in Southern province have a master plan of destabilising the UPND in Southern province in order that the PF gets penetration and he was called to Lusaka where he was supposed to get resources for the exercise and get further briefings from the PF secretariat. The meeting was also expected to be attended by the recently expelled UPND Sinazongwe MP Richwell Siamunene.
Meanwhile a close friend to Msoni said he called him on Sunday night and told him that he (Msoni) was going to be in Lusaka the following day for a big meeting and that he was expecting a good reward from state house. “He was a friend and mostly when he comes to Lusaka we always linked up, so Sunday night he called me and told me that he was going to be here tommorrow morning, he said he had to be in Lusaka before 12:00hrs and thereafter he would have some big rewards,” said the friend who declined to be named.
Traffic police in Mazabuka told the Zambian watchdog that the vehicle must have been over-speeding going by the impact. “The vehicle must have been over-speeding, because after hitting into the pothole, it was thrown about 5oo meters away from the scene, the accident happened around Munali Coffe stretch,” said the police.
